Certification Process for the SBABC
Five Level Training Program
- Level One: Self-Confrontation Manual (Lessons 1-11)
- Level Two: Self-Confrontation Manual (Lessons 12-22)
- Level Three: The Process of Biblical Counseling
Complete a Session Summary Form for eight case studies
- Level Four: The Theology of Biblical Counseling
- Level Five: Practical Counseling
Consists of 40 counseling sessions, with a minimum of 50 total hours, including a Session Summary Form per session completed in a satisfactory manor. (Pass/Fail)

Note: In regard to the first two books, the student is required to submit a response paper at least one page in length. The paper should include the purpose of the book along with a critique. The critique should include strengths, weaknesses, and those things with which you agree and disagree. Then describe how you feel this book will aid you in your counseling ministry. The last two books are read only.
Exam & Application After the first four levels of the training process, the response papers, and the reading assignments have been completed, you will then need to complete the Counseling Exam and turn it in before starting Level Five. Also, it will then be neccesary for the student to complete and turn in their application.
FEES Mentor Fee: $200 for the person who will be going over your homework and counseling tapes (This fee applies to those living beyound our training facility)
Application Fee: $20 to be turned in with your application
Certification Fee: $60 for initial certification and $60 annually for continuing certification
